Prelude 01:55
2.
Woke up this morning, I got my wings. Gonna grow or die, No in-between. Made up my mind, As long as I’m alive, I’m gonna live out loud, Gonna wait till I’m dead to die. I feel the fire On the flight to triumph. It ain’t wings that make you fly, It’s the depth of your desire. Made up my mind, As long as this life’s mine, I’m gonna call the shots, I’m gonna learn to fly it right. Not too high and not too low, That’s what Daed’lus said would take me All the way back home. Everything Has got a price. What’s it cost to lose myself In the pleasures of delight? And, what’s in a name? Say, I was born to fly. It’s better to burn out Than to never try. Watch me fly. They call me a martyr For my desire But I can’t help it, We all live to die. And, what’s in a name? The story that you write, And they’ll be telling mine For a long long time. Not too high and not too low, That’s what Daed’lus said would take me All the way back home. Yeah, we’re bound by wax and feather, Faith and debt hold us together, Even stars don’t burn forever, They all come crashing down. Every ending is a tragedy, When there is no story left to read, But a legend, a legend lives on.

Dorado 04:03
My dress sways like a poem As I spin round and catch the wind, Under Marrakech lanterns On lemon trees twinkling. The children are laughing, Waltzing their way through the sand, I’ve got a big straw hat on my head, And your love in my hand. Dorado, take me there – Where the hours so simply unravel Without a care. Dorado, take me there – Where the moon shines so bright And I’m dancing with you ‘till the end. Dusty boots in the back And my feet on the dash while you drive. Holding a pile of sage That you picked at the party last night. The twilight is magic Spinning minutes through a colorful wheel, I know I’ve loved you forever, Prove to me time isn’t real. Dorado, take me there – Where the hours so simply unravel Without a care. Dorado, take me there – Where the moon shines so bright And I’m dancing with you ‘till the end.

Civilized 04:37
I pay dues at the velvet club,
 Sipping violet and gin.
 Everybody knows my name,
But no one’s looking to make friends. Small talk it can kill you, Not from boredom but distress,
‘Cause you know there’s more to the story Than what your mouths are getting at. Have we lost our humanness? Too civilized to use our senses? I live to talk to strangers,
I can’t talk business without a script. We made life a competition,
Why do we pretend like we didn’t? Seven thousand dialects,
And we’re still inventing words, Haven’t got the language yet
To get to the heart of it. Have we lost our humanness? Too civilized to use our senses? And god forbid You say the wrong thing In this unforgiving world, There’s no place for your mess, Except to entertain us.
 Go on, entertain us.

Daybreaker 04:08
I used to be fire In all the wrong ways, Burning up on the inside, My head in the haze. I’d wake up in the shadows, Let the darkness rule the day. It’s time to clear all the dead weight, Exorcise the demons, shed my skin and try it all again. The dark had its turn, But I’m starting to learn, If I wanna give light, I gotta let it all burn. Ooh, set me on fire, set me free! Ooh, yesterday’s gone and I got to believe, Ooh, there goes the dark side of the moon, And the sun’ll be up soon. Every day I battle With the wolves in me, One of them is evil The other one is love, love, love! Love is a-waiting, I only gotta call her name, Realize the might of my mind, And surrender every doubt to the heat of the flames.

Is all we see and all we’ve seen Just a dream within a dream? Gotta leave today
, Packed up my cold tears With your trophies in the suitcase
. The truth is this, no matter what it seems, All our days have been a dream. If hope flies away, in the night or in the day, In a vision or in none, is hope forever gone? Is all we see and all we’ve seen Just a dream within a dream? A grain of golden sand,
I tried to hold it All winter long in my hand
. But just like you, it slipped into the stream, And all our days melt into a dream If hope flies away in the night or in the day, In a vision or in none, is hope forever gone? If love flies away in the night or in the day, In a vision or in none, is love forever gone? Is all we see and all we’ve seen Just a dream within a dream? Is all we see and all we’ve seen Just a dream within a dream? If hope flies away, in the night or in the day, In a vision or in none, is hope forever gone? Is all we see and all we’ve seen Just a dream within a dream?

An apology,
Is that what you want from me? Funny how it feels so real,
Like there’s an army out to stop me. But I won’t surrender,
No I won’t let you slow me down. I keep on marching against the wind, I know where I’m going.
 I don’t let anyone’s opinion
Keep me from owning the truth. Cause I set a spell in motion, To scale the tallest mountain,
And the biggest war I have to fight ain’t you, It’s making my way up. Everything I read
Is trying to get a rise out of me.
Funny how it feels so real,
Quick to strip me of my peace of mind. But I keep my focus,
I’ll keep my eyes fixed on the prize. I keep on marching against the wind, I know where I’m going.
 I don’t let anyone’s opinion
Keep me from owning the truth. Cause I set a spell in motion To scale the tallest mountain
And the biggest war I have to fight ain’t you, It’s making my way up You don’t get what you want, You get what you believe. And you got the right to be Who you wanna be. So, when you cast your spells,
Better spell ‘em out carefully, Cause once you say it…
You become it. I keep on marching against the wind, I know where I’m going.
 I don’t let anyone’s opinion
Keep me from owning the truth. Cause I set a spell in motion To scale the tallest mountain
And the biggest war I have to fight ain’t you, It’s making my way up.
8.
I scaled the holy mountains, I swam the seven seas, I’ve been way out on Jupiter, Every star in between. I’ve been inside out, Outside in, In and out of my mind. (Oh, that’s where you’ve been!) I’ve been all around this world, Slayed a dragon, Saved a squirrel, but I – I never done that before. (Never done that before) I’ve been hypnotized, I’ve been googlized I’ve been brutalized, I’ve been caramelized. I’ve been sailing on the winds of change. I’ve been smoked, I’ve been burned, I’ve been seared, And I’ve been turned, but I – Never done that before. (Never done that before) Been broken down in the east, Been set up in the west, Lost my dime a thousand times, Guess I’ll charge myself the rest. Better to let it be? Should I let it all go? Let it go, let it go, let it all go? I’ve been the ruler, Been the fool, Still I’m singing this old tune, That I’ve never done that before.
9.
After the flood came St. Elmo’s fire, And the butterflies with blue halos Danced in the dark night. I held my heart in my hands on a windy cliff, Still waiting for all the heaviness to turn into a gift. At midnight, the moon arrived, It’s light - a letter from the sun, Saying, “You are not forgotten, Have faith until tomorrow – Until we meet again.”
